(This is a 100% Remote Career Opportunity for candidates who are located in: Rhode Island, Massachusetts, or Connecticut. Occasional on-site meetings might be requested).
We are engaged in a search for an IT Project Manager on a very long-term consulting basis. In this role, the individual will:

Manage multiple, complex, cross-departmental projects that involve changes to business processes, selection of software solutions, and IT software and system implementations in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Lead academic and administrative departments, technical staff, and user communities through a variety of information technology projects. • Partner with project sponsors to identify, prioritize and sequence project goals while documenting and prioritizing requirements.

Produce clear and detailed project documentation including process flows, integration diagrams and other project deliverables.

Produce estimated implementation schedules, spending plans, and business case to secure funding for the chosen solutions.

Mitigate people/organizational risks associated with projects that may require cultural and operational changes.

Manage the vendor relationships to ensure quality deliverables per schedule.
- Ensure that a training program on system functionality is developed for end users.
The appropriate individual will have demonstrated experience in the following:

Significant IT Project Management background that includes a combination of Information Technology, Software and Systems Projects.

Project management tools that might include Smart Sheets, Microsoft Project or other like tools.

Strong documentation that includes process flows, integration diagrams and requirements management.

Background in either Scrum and or Agile environments.
- PMP certification a big plus.
- Academic, Research and or Healthcare Projects a big plus.
Work Environment
This is a nine-month hourly consulting engagement that is 100% remote with some infrequent on-site meetings. We aren’t considering third party consultants and are unable to sponsor visas for this opportunity.
