{"id":20843,"date":"2024-09-10T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2024-09-10T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newdirectionsstaffing.com\/it\/job\/job-14883-software-engineer-warwick-ri\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T00:16:01","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T00:16:01","slug":"job-14883-software-engineer-warwick-ri","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/newdirectionsstaffing.com\/it\/?post_type=job_listing&p=20843","title":{"rendered":"Software Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"vgblk-rw-wrapper limit-wrapper\">\n<h4><strong><a id=\"myCustomID\" href=\"https:\/\/newdirectionsstaffing.com\/it\/job\/JOB-14883\">To Apply for this Job Click Here<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11pt\">Are you a Software Engineer looking to take your career in a <em>new direction<\/em>?\u00a0 If so, we\u2019d like to introduce you to this exciting opportunity.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11pt\">(This is an onsite career opportunity.\u00a0 Candidates must be with commutable distance to Warwick, RI).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11pt\"><br \/>We have been engaged in a search for a Software Engineer who will work with business users and technology teams to meet stakeholder requirements for existing and new applications.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11pt\">In this role, the Software Engineer will:\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11pt\">Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshooting software and database applications that perform critical business functions in a C#, Python, JavaScript environment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11pt\">Respond to requests from the user community and engineer solutions with the software team to meet stakeholder needs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11pt\">Maintain existing legacy systems during a transition to a cloud-based infrastructure.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11pt\">The appropriate individual will have demonstrated experience in the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11pt\">High level programming languages that include one or more of the following:\u00a0 C#, Python, JavaScript or equivalent.\u00a0 (C# and JavaScript preferred).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11pt\">Structured query languages that include one or more of the following:\u00a0 MySQL SQL, Oracle PL\/SQL, Microsoft T-SQL.\u00a0 (SQL, T-SQL preferred).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11pt\">Developing in the Microsoft Ecosystem (including Azure) \u2013 (Highly desirable).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11pt\">RESTful APIs using technologies such as Python, Node, or equivalent and tools such as Postman or Insomnia.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11pt\">Familiarity with OpenAPI Specifications.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11pt\">Ability to navigate and troubleshoot a Linux environment, familiarity with cron and command line software. (Highly desirable).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size: 11pt\">A combination of data warehousing, data governance, reporting and \/ or visualization of data within a cloud-based system.
