If you’re an experience Web Content Editor with a passion for improving user experience in a research environment, we’d like to introduce you to a world-renown institution. 

(Work Environment):   This role can be performed 100% remote for U.S. based citizens.

  • As part of a website rebuild and relaunch, the Web Content Editor will:
  • Perform content planning and curation, project management, copyediting, new content creation and the production of web pages. 
  • Utilize a new Information architecture (IA) as a roadmap for developing and reorganizing the current content into a new website that is user-centric and presents information in a compelling manner. 
  • Write and edit content that includes developing headings, body copy, and calls-to-action that are consistent editorial style guidelines.
  • Review each web page, document or file in the current site to determine whether or not sections/paragraphs need to be moved to a different pages. 
  • Reorganize and repurpose content for increased readability, understanding and compliance with web best practice.
  • Organize and prepare a detailed set of Google Docs with all of the copy needed for each of the webpages within the IA.
  • Build user-centric webpages utilizing the Drupal Cloud web content management system (CMS).
  • Consulting with the Web & Digital Team for direction and guidance.

The appropriate individual will have demonstrated experience in the following:

  • Web content management utilizing Drupal CMS (Content Management System), HTML and Google Docs environment.
  • Assess website needs, create page layouts, navigation and workflows.
  • Writing skills for webpages including editing and organizing content, and reworking and repurposing content.  (Research websites highly desirable). 
  • User experience, web project planning, web accessibility and search engine optimization (SEO).
  • Preferred background in technical and or research related websites and content.
  • Ability to develop internally-facing content that is explanatory, administrative, regulatory, advisory and research-related.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues and within cross functional teams.
